Strengthening social health protection through Providing for Health – Phase II

This second phase of the project strengthening the Providing for Health (P4H) network on health financing and social health protection builds on the strengths of phase 1 and P4H's priority areas. The project focuses on strengthening the coordination desk, and more specifically the social health protection aspect of the Network, reinforcing the social health protection aspect in connection with the wider social protection community. .A technical officer position funded by the project supports the coordination desk of the network, focusing on supporting country focal points, strengthening the ILO country teams’ collaborations with members of the P4H network at country and regional levels (including collaboration with the Connect network for social health protection in Asia), as well as the facilitation of technical exchanges at global level on topics relevant to social protection and health, in particular within the Technical Exchange Group workstream on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response and the social determinants of health.
