Implementación del Componente de Migración Laboral bajo la actividad 2.1.4 de la Fase XV del Programa Regional de Migración - Western Hemisphere Program (WHP)
The Western Hemisphere Program (WHP), implemented by IOM since 2010, is funded by the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration of the United States Department of State and aims to strengthen the capacity of governments to manage migration in a humane and sustainable manner. This Agreement is framed under activity 2.1.4 of Phase XVI of the Regional Programme on Migration and responds to the activities of the labour migration component. The activities under this Agreement are implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and contribute to regional dialogue and the strengthening of labour mobility mechanisms to promote safe, orderly and regular labour migration. The intervention focuses on strengthening regional coordination spaces and processes related to regional labour migration governance, in particular the Regional Conference on Migration (RCM) and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). The framework of the Agreement includes joint support to improve migration governance, capacity building and policy coherence at national and regional levels.
