Advancing SDG 8.7: Strengthening the Pathfinder Country Reporting Process

This project strengthens the capacity of the Alliance 8.7 Secretariat and the Alliance's SDG Monitoring Working Group in order to provide continued support to Pathfinder Countries to fulfil their reporting obligations under the Alliance 8.7 Accountability Framework. It expands a methodology developed during the 2023 reporting cycle, prepares comparative analysis of the Pathfinder Country reports to identify and document good practice, including challenges to SDG 8.7 Roadmap implementation and measures taken to address the challenges. It also facilitates knowledge sharing among Pathfinder Countries through a Pathfinder Country Workshop organised in 2024 and an in-person event held in conjuction with an Alliance Global Coordinating Group meeting. It assesses, simplify and refine the Pathfinder Country Indicator Framework that had been applied in the 2021 and 2022 reporting cycles, with a view to its application in the 2025 reporting cycle.
