Technical advisory services for social security in Jordan, including the Eleventh Actuarial Review of the Social Security Corporation

The main objective of this development cooperation project is to assist the Social Security Corporation of Jordan, as the principal responsible government agency, in the formulation of options for the strengthening of the social insurance system, taking into account the recent reforms carried out after the 10th Actuarial Valuation, as well as their implementation so as to ensure the long-term viability and financial sustainability of the whole social security system. The project consists of an agreement between the SSC and the ILO, under which the latter will extend the technical support to build up in-house capacities in the field of social security and social protection. It is envisaged that this process will involve close collaboration in the areas of policy, legal, financial and actuarial analysis, operations and communications to undertake the different planned interventions and to provide regular consultation.
