Supporting the Time-Bound Programme in Nepal - The IPEC Core Time-Bound Programme Project (INT/01/P04/USA) (see also NEP/02/P01/NEP)
The project had many outputs in relation to prevention, withdrawal, policy making and child labour monitoring system, particularly focusing on seven sectors (child bonded labour, ragpickers, child domestic, child porters, children in mines, children in carpet making and trafficking in children) identified as worst forms of child labour in Nepal. The major activities were withdrawal from worst forms of child labour, prevention from entering into worst forms of child labour, creating an enabling environment for the implementation of legal provisions made under the Child Labour and Regulation act. Income-generating activities for families and vocational and apprenticeship training for employable age-group children and capacity development of implementing partners.
