Joint institutions on vocational training for Central and Eastern European employers' organizations (INT/01/M30/FLA)

The project aims at setting up joint vocational training institutions by the social partners of some sectors in some countries of Central Europe: in Lithuania, by the textile industry, in Hungary and Bulgaria, by the construction industry and in Romania, by the food-processing industry and construction industry. In Lithuania, a presentation of the model of the Flemish textile industry was given to the social partners of the sector. However, after that presentation, there was no follow-up as the partners could not find a solution for the funding of the institution. In Hungary, the project could not start up, due to lack of capacity at the Employers’ Federation, while in Romania, the presentation of the model of the Flemish food-processing industry had no interest from the Romanian industry.
