Application of the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and its Follow-up
This project on the Application of the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and its Follow-up aims to assist ILO member States in attaining the four principles of the Declaration – freedom of association and collective bargaining, elimination of forced labour, child labour and discrimination in respect of employment and occupation. The project has three components to meet the regional, subregional and in-country demand. These are subregional seminars on the Application of the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and its Follow-up, on the Labour Law Network and on the East Asian Industrial Relations Network. The expected outcomes of the project include: (1) increased understanding of and refreshed commitment to the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work by member States; (2) increased collaboration between member States, with regard to the protection and promotion of workers’ rights; and (3) an increased number of member States drawing up a national plan of action for decent work and its implementation.
