lessons_learned:
description:
Effects of COVID-19 in conflict affected locations Particularly in the in the Central African Republic, the pandemic had effects in terms of travel restrictions for the project team and specialists in charge of monitoring implementation to support constituents in the field. This introduced delays in the completion of certain activities, such as field studies. COVID-19 affected communication due to generally weak telephone and internet connections in the field sites. The latter affected the efficiency of remote engagement in project activities towards the end of project implementation in an already highly fragile context.
context:
Need of telecommunication connectivity in post-conflict contexts
success:
Joint engagement of project team, DWCT and responsible COs
challenges:
Challenges in reaching project sited due to travel restrictions where virtual engagement is highly limited due to weak telephone and internet connections
administrative_issues:
Weak telecommunication connectivity seems beyond the control of the RBSA project.
