recommendations:
title:
The Evaluation strongly recommends that Labour Force surveys be conducted in the country to monitor the impact of future aid programs. When designing surveys, it is necessary to balance costs against the benefits of frequent data collection and the level of data disaggregation of the statistics. It may be sufficient for policy making to obtain national estimates at quarterly intervals to capture seasonal changes in the economy and the labour force. This will be requiring a much smaller sample size of the LFHLCS.

comments:
The ILO supports this recommendation. The follow-up tracer survey will contribute to enhancing the collection of LMI using a much smaller, though nationally representative sample. However, institutionalising this as a regular (quarterly) exercise requires addtional resources and institutional commitment from the GoL.
