recommendations:
title:
PPDP Project extension ILO should request Sida to grant a minimum 6 months “no-cost” extension, bringing the closure of the Project to end of April 2023, which to some extent could compensate for the delays in implementation incurred by the Covid-19 pandemic disruptions during the last year and improve/intensify contributions from Partners. Should this not be possible due to lack of funding in keeping all staff members on the pay roll, one alternative would be to reduce the size of the Project team during the very last extension phase; another alternative is to bring up the issue with a final evaluation (likely to be fielded by mid-2022), in making the point that the donor should grant extra funding to the Project.

action_plan:
Recommendation partially accepted due to the fact the donor has approved funds enough to cover the 6 months extension thus all staff costs will be fully covered by the available funds.
comments:
ILO had requested and received approval from SIDA (donor) for the 6 months no- cost extension. In addition, the project will keep all the PPDP project staff for now.
