The coir processing centre started its production in September 2021. The DoCD and Tropi coir company are engaging with setting up wages and other technical requirements.

comments:

Around 50 both men and women got employment by the end September with the starts of operation of coco chip production centre. The Tropi Coir company will purchase the final product as the company has established markets outside the country for the product. As the cooperative owns the business unit, DoCD will oversee the business and Tropcoir company will continuously provide technical guidance.
