1. Consider developing a decent workplace approach while designing the training programs for direct beneficiaries and engaging directly with employers in building capacity to ensure decent work conditions by o Working closely with human resources departments on the CPD training and follow-ups o Developing and providing a training program on workplace diversity and adequate conditions to accommodate the needs of vulnerable groups. o Developing workplace adaptation trainings on non-discrimination and gender equality and make them available to employers and their workforce o Providing assistance to the employers in the workers adaptation processes: language assistance will allow them to communicate company policy and rules to the workers (in particular SuTP) o Setting up a workplace monitoring program through worker’s engagement.

action_plan:
* CPD trainings are already implemented with HRDs * Ongoing jointly with PRM and MADAD projects *language assistance is already provided to employers *Project will coordinate with employers and their workers on data collection for workplace monitoring
comments:
Most of this is already ongoing. For example the CPD trainings are implemented with close coordination with the HR departments of the companies that we work with. We will assess the feasibility of expanding the same approach to KIGEP companies. Program development on workplace diversity and adequate conditions to accommodate the needs of the vulnerable are being implemented with workers with ILOs other two projects on refugee response such as MADAD and PRM, via the work place adaptation programme (WAP). A similar approach is being considered for employers and managers by adapting WAP to serve this purpose. InfoCenters will be used (where possible) to provide some of the above-listed trainings. Language assistance has been provided in project activities from the very outset by our Arabic speaking consultants in the field. An informal workplace monitoring is conducted on monthly basis, where employees in our programme are contacted by our training coordinators.
