recommendations:
title:
Government should streamline bureaucracy so as to ease budgetary releases from treasury to ministries and departments as a way of ensuring financial resources meant for project activities are released on time to enable projects meet deadlines upon which they should deliver on its results.

action_plan:
The ILO to highlight in steering committee meetings of future projects the importance of timely release of funds for project activities.
comments:
The recommendation is duly noted and DWT/CO Pretoria - when implementing projects with contributions from a national government counterpart - will highlight in steering committee meetings the importance of timely release of funds for project activities. The recommendation is somewhat beyond the control of the ILO. When we work with the South African government - or any government for that matter - we do not intervene in their administrative and financial processes, just as we ask them not to intervene in the ILO's.
