4. Enhance engagement with employers in future projects Project management should strive as much as possible to engage with the private sector, since it is the main generator of jobs. Employer representatives should be involved from the design phase and all through implementation to ensure that the project is not working in isolation with workers and job seekers. While chambers are the main representatives of employers and should be engaged from the outset, sectoral association should also be examined to determine the extent to which their engagement will add value to the project, and enhance the effectiveness of achieving the project's results.

The current ILO-PRM partnership (phase III) already addressed the importance of engaging with sectoral associations under objective one “Enhanced employment readiness of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians through targeted and demand-driven skills development approaches including in sectors where women's participation is high or there is potential to expand”. Through capitalizing on the ILO’s areas of expertise in skills and employment, the programme will guide job seekers and offer them with training opportunities in a demand-driven approach so that they are well-suited for employment.

The ILO partnered with NSSCs under the umbrella of the Jordan Chamber of Industry to map opportunities for WBL. A national expert at JCI is carrying a mapping of available opportunities and support established SSCs in strengthening their operationalization, communication and coordination, in order to better identify market demands for skills and occupations.
