- Reinforce and continue the role of the Migration Advisory Group. The advisory function of the MAG in the Arab States has added considerable value to thinking around the issues being addressed, and the topics being raised and addressed in policy briefs and initiatives. Activities of the group should be extended to cover Africa, or a similar group established for Africa, if more appropriate, and the role should include support to planning for the next programme phase.
