Recommendation 6: Enhanced TVET quality and relevance The ILO should continue working with TVET providers (including NGOs) and the private sector to further develop/update labour market studies and skills assessments; competency-based curricula; tracer studies; and employer satisfaction surveys to ensure that the skills programmes are up-to-date and relevant to current industry needs. It is also important to continue supporting the alignment and standardization of non-formal training programs, as well as the development of a quality assurance system that includes standards, assessment tools, and procedures for monitoring and evaluating TVET programs

Institutionalization of an online skills anticipation survey with ALI is ongoing and expected to complete by end of 2023. The process seeks to establish a baseline database of skills needs to monitor change in trends Work on quality assurance and standardization of non-formal training programme is ongoing as part of current skills project interventions and the Skills Development Working Group responsibility

ILO, UNICEF, and the World Bank initiated Skills Development Working Group (SDWG), bringing together key development partners and donor in Lebanon to promote coordination in skills development, including AFD, GIZ, KFW, EU, ETF, AICS, IECD, USAID. The SDWG plays a critical role in addressing some of the key challenges in the skills development agenda in Lebanon, including issues around equity and access, quality, relevance, and efficiency. Furthermore, this platform serves as a driver to sustain provision of assistance to the Government and key private actors as well as a hub to synergize interventions.
